WHO
Louisville Peace Piece by Piece is an event within Twelve Days Toward Peace (September 21 to October 2), an initiative of Drepung Gomang Center for Engaging Compassion. DGCEC is committed to growing compassion in the hearts of the community.
DGCEC is the North American Seat of Drepung Gomang Monastery that
-
offers opportunities to study and practice Tibetan Buddhism
-
promotes awareness of the endangered Tibetan culture and associated human rights issues with commemorations and events, and by hosting the Drepung Gomang Sacred Arts tours
-
provides programs, events and classes that encourage the fostering of universal human values for the building of interfaith understanding – compassion engagement, mind training and meditation, Earth reverence, nonviolence education – as inspired by His Holiness the Dalai Lama.
